I think that the nextel cup, busch series and the craftsman truck series are unfair. On any given week there are only a hand full of drivers who can win. I feel that roush and hendrick hold too many cards when it comes to nascar.

One of the reasons for the car changing from the old body style to the C.O.T. is cost. From what NASCAR has said, these cars are easier to change setups on for the different tracks, and will be more cost efficient for the teams that don't have the funding that Roush, DEI, HMS, and others have.

Part of the problems that the "smaller" teams faced this past yr was the fact that they had to split their resources between two different body styles. I'm taking a wait-and-see approach, perhaps the 2008 season will see the smaller teams more competitive.

As far as Busch and Craftsman, I really think it's time for NASCAR to limit how much the "buschwhackers" affect the races by limiting them or totally eliminating them from competition. They already have rides on Sunday, and their dominating Fridays and Saturdays hurts the drivers from the other two NASCAR curcuits as far as getting a fair shake to move up into the cup series.

There is an easy fix to the whole problem. Turn Nascar into the IROC series,

Nascar gives you a car with a crate engine. You can make minor adjustments, but everyone has the same gears, shocks and basic setup.

Every car is the same.

Personally? Sounds boring, because it is up to the driver only. The best will always win.

i think you must be mistaken. formula one is the one were only a handfull of drivers could win a race. if you look back to last year you would see that almost anyone can win. yes a few teams have a great engine and set up team but more than half the drivers have at any given week has a chance to win. take a look at nascar statistics and see how many drivers this year led laps and how many had top 5 or 10 finishes. i wish dale jr would have won a race this year but he didnt. it wasnt because he wasnt competetive things didnt fall his way. i watch a lot of racing and i happen to think that nascar has the best chance for more drivers to win than any other driving sport.

If your not the best you strive to be. They need to have a limit in my opinion of 2 cars per team. That is the 1 way that the playing field can be more equal. The 3-4 car teams although they have the money and earned their way to get there--has an unfair advantage of more options--such as testing dates--communication--pit crew interchangeability and so forth. But the Most money can buy the very best of equipment-personnel-facilities and so forth. So Money Talks!!!!!

I have followed Nascar for almost 20 years and today's Nascar is very unfair. I think they are letting hendricks get away with murder out there and the Nascar brass consistantly play favorites. The rules are created to exclude competition now and racing has become so predictable and boring that I rarely watch a race these days. I just look at the highlights on Speed TV.

I think it is as fair as it can get. The big teams are there because money talks. If you get on that team, you are sitting pretty good and have a good chance at being number one someday

And replying to what Jim M said... *cough cough* Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson *cough cough*

GO JIMMIE ON BACK 2 BACK!!

No you aren't alone. Everyone with favorite drivers that didn't win feel like you. They keep changing the rules to try to please everyone and it isn't working. Some teams and drivers are the fastest because they are the best. There is nothing new about that.
