i met a guy at his work and we started talking. he asked me how old i was and since i was turning 17 in a week. i said i was 17. (he is 18). i didnt think that we would keep talking like we did. then when he added me on myspace he saw that it was almost my birthday and wished me a happy 18th. from then i was afraid to tell him the truth because i tought he would just leave me. now weve been together for about 3 months and he still thinks im 18. im afraid he will think that ive been lying about everything. i didnt think id ever fall for him...so i didnt feel the need to tell him that. now we both love eachother..except he doesnt know the truth. how do i tell him to where he would understand? thank you so much.

You just have to face it. There is no better way to tell him the truth. You just have to bite the bullet and be honest with him. It will come out later on anyway and you don't want that. You want him to hear it from you first hand.
-Good luck.

well, you did lie to him, but your turning 17 in a week. i really hate myspace, really gets a lot of personal things out there. you can just tell him that you TURNED 17 recently, that'd work. unless what you told him was that you were 17 turning 18, which seems to be the case, which is pretty bad. if so, you should just admit that you did lie to him, he'll only look bad if someone else were to tell him, he should understand. at that age, 2 years difference shouldn't make a big deal.

This is why you tell the truth when people ask, no matter WHO they are. You could have said 16 almost 17. So explain the situation to him. And when you love someone, you don't keep things from them, so are you sure it's really love? What will really tick him off and make him break up with you is if he finds out by someone else, and it's very likely to happen.

Truth is...You should tell him or it could be bad...

Say it like this...

"I have a confession to make. Please promise you'll still love me after I tell you this. (HIM PROMISING). Remember when I told you I was 18? I'm actually 17. I'm not turning 18. I just loved you so much that I had to lie because YOU were my true love." Then add some more. Sorry if it doesn't seem like the most 17 year old thing to say...

Be perfectly frank and honest. It's not like you lied and said you were 20. It's only a year difference. Just tell him "I was afraid to tell you, but I just wanted you to know that I _______ because I wanted to impress you, and I feel lame about it" kinda thing. If you haven't lied about anything else tell him that. Apologize and tell him exactlyy why you lied and also mention that you understand if he's a little upset. It really isn't a big deal at all and im sure it won't change how mature he sees you or anything. It'll be fine. But tell him asap. Good luck. =)

there is not any longer something you're able to do-- considering you have been cheating he is going to circulate to reformatory for some years and be labeled a intercourse criminal for the the remainder of his life all considering you may desire to no longer tell him the actuality. You for sure do no longer love him using fact in case you enjoyed him you may have had the middle to tell him the actuality quite of ruining his life. you're a foul guy or woman and that i'm able to basically desire sometime you get what's coming to you. Edit: with regard to what the guy mentioned below me, there is no way they'd eliminate the charges-- that's illegitimate in terms of the state definition of consent and no be counted what he is going to would desire to circulate to reformatory and save what he's completed on his checklist. additionally the courtroom would not care which you lied, if something you need to confess which you lied and that they had circulate uncomplicated on you too.

Just tell him "Actually I just turned 17, the reason I said I was 17 when you asked is because I was going to be turning 17 in a week anyway."

He should understand.

Just tell him that you are not really 18 yet and that you lied because you didn't want to lose an opportunity on him not getting to know u because you were 16. If he really likes you and wants to be with you he should not have a problem with your age.

tell him the truth if he gets mad about something little like that then imagine how mad he will get if you tell him like that the time is one minute before the actual time. if he really loves you that wouldnt matter and either way its not really lying because everyone always does what you did hell i told everyone i was 14 a month before i actually was and my friend always says shes 16 though she just turned 15. so jus tell him i am sure he will understand.
