You remind me of an old hillbilly lazy person that joined the service to have a job and a home ..only.
his words " ah wouldn't of joined if ah knew ah'd half'ta go to war...."
( give me a royal brake!)

There is a reason it is called the armed forces. If you do not wish to defend your country against all enemies foreign and domestic do not volunteer for the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, and/or the Coast Guard. There is plenty of employment in the Medical profession to include paramedics which would be the non fighting equivalent of a medic

You could literally go anywhere in the world if you're a medic. Your chances of going to Landstuhl Germany would be better if you were a med tech, nurse, doctor. That's one of the few large hospitals the Air Force still has, but there are no guarantees. I'd bet money though that if you were some sort of med-tech etc you'd pull a tour there. That hospital is HUGE!

Not much fighting in the airforce.

If you don't want to fight, I would suggest you not join any military service. Fighting is what they do. Try the peace corps or some other non-military organization.
