Good point. It is impossible for anyone to prevent another person from praying to their god at any time or at any place. Christians simply want ORGANIZED religion in the public schools. Protestantism, of course. (Which is why Catholics started their own schools)

It's not enough for their child to be able to privately bow their head and pray to their own god... they want to force the rest of the class to do the same.

I cant quite understand why you should address this question to just Christians?
I am atheist, which only means I don't believe in God, therefore I don't believe in any religion that worships a God.
On the subject of Schools and teaching
it is my opinion that the story of God should be taught, not just the story of this God as started by the Old Testament and continued (after amendment) into the New Testament.
This lot only goes back a few thousand years, what is that in the life span of mankind, the blink of an eye!
Certainly teach children about God, subjectively, and about all the Gods there have been , also teach children about all the associated religions attached to each of these Gods, but teach with known 'facts' not fairy tales!
Then let the kids make up their own minds!
Kids should not be taught that their own particular brand of religion is the only 'true' religion.
Religion is only a belief and worship of a superhuman controlling power, it should be taught, they should all be taught, but not with any biases!
I would stick it under the subject heading of 'Myths and Fairy tales'
Hope this helps?

They will try to take God out of schools because Satan is at war with humanity, trying to take God out of the earth. Now, more than ever, it is important for Christian parents to teach their children about God at home.

well if you weren't aware of it...

alot of christians things were allowed in PUBLIC schools
at least up until the late 70's....

we celebrated christian holidays, we recited the pledge
of alligence which mentions God..we sung hymns in
music class...etc....

i remember doing a number of those things....this is not allowed
now...therefore technically..its removing alot of "God" things
out of the schools...

even for awhile it was frowned on to pray during lunch time
or between classes by INDIVIDUALS...which is a violation
of the 1st ammendment by any measure...

it is what it is..

Because... Not everyone in the world is Christian.

Christian population = 33%
Non-Christian Population = 67%

As far as I know 67% > 33%

What this says is that we shouldn't remove god from schools, but instead your child should be taught Muslim, and Hindu, and Chinese universists, and Buddhism.

Hows that for separation of church and state?

We shouldn't take God out of anything in our lives except for sin.

They really cant. They just dont want anyone mentioning anything about him. Especially using the name above all names. Jesus

Day time here,
I think what they meant was that they have banned prayer and any reference to God and creation.

No way to remove Him from anywhere. He even sits in on ACLU meetings.

Because freedom of religion also means freedom from it.
