I am going to share a recipe with you that I wont even give my sister. Easy fudge.

Just buy a 12 or 10 oz bag of choc chips (or any chips) and a tub of any flavor frosting. Microwave the chips in a glass bowl 15 seconds at a time until completely melted. Stirring as you go. Do not burn. Then when it is melted stir in the frosting well and pour into a lightly greased (with butter, just use a paper towel to wipe the butter on the pan) 8x8 pan. Then allow to completely cool. When cooled cut into squares and package and give out. You can buy cute bags or tins at the dollars stores.

The combinations are endless. As there are so many different frostings and flavored chips on the market. You can add nuts, but on a budget nuts are a little pricey.

Homemade cookies are all ways appreciated :)

You had mentioned you were really good at art...what type? Drawing, sculpting? Whatever you work with, you express it with your art. For example, if there's a rocking chair that meant something to your aunt and she used to read to you in that chair when you were little, you could draw that. You can get a variety of frames from any dollar store, and there's a gift that I'm sure would mean a great deal to any relative. I hope this helps!

handmade coasters and/or trivits? Take tiles (individual tiles from a craft store...or a local over-stock outlet) and paint various pictures/designs that will appeal to your family members; glue felt or another type of material to the bottom to keep it from scratching the tabletops.

I've also seen home glass etching kits in my local craft store; I haven't tried it yet, however it appears that it would be fairly simple to use (tape a stencil on, brush on the etching "goop", rinse it off). Items to stencil can be found at the dollar store--glasses, mirrors...maybe even a small something special in the corner of the glass in a picture frame...or personalize the glass on a candle holder.

A cheap and easy gift is ornaments. You can make them from salt dough (recipes are all over the internet) or from applesauce and cinnamon (which smell awesome!). Recipes are all over the internet and can be easily made, dried and even painted if you are feeling frisky! Another ornament can be made from Lifesavers. Google Lifesavers ornaments and tada! Merry Christmas!

Make your own custom-crafted Christmas ornaments.
You can either start with the salt-cookie dough, or go to the craft store and buy the wooden or plaster ornaments you can paint with acrylics.
There are acrylic paints with pearly finish or glitter in them for $1 a bottle.
You can make a cat or dog ornament look like one of your own pets, or color the hair of a little child to look like one of your family.

Things that we've tried:
Ornaments (in fact, we've just learned a new one that use pictures cut into circles and are doing it this year)
Had small pieces of fabric and made stockings and wreaths
Really cheap financial books/piggy banks
Fudge-assorted
Cookies-assorted
Baskets and cups filled with assorted goodies (chapstick, candy, small games, etc)
This year we might do the "home-made quickie jar food basket"
Hope you think of something and have lots of fun making them!
