Well for one, you gotta appreciate the fact that he is thinking of you. Next, it depends on what type of relationship you are having with him and how long. It appears like your relationship with him is fairly new and so he is trying to send you the signal that he is thinking of you and that he cares for you. He could be sending a blanket message which means the same text is sent to everyone in his phone. But if that's not it-i would just text back "mornin' how ya doin" be cool-dont read too much into it.

I think you should ask, how do you feel about it. There are some guys who are clingy and like to give attention to girls. Some girls like it while others dont. If you dont like it then you need to tell him to stop. If you two are more than friends you need to tell him it bothers you, I am sure he only does it because he cares but there are other ways he can show you he cares that you feel better about. Let him know what they are so your relationship can work. If you two are just friends then tell him its annoying he should stop.

that depends on if i like this guy, then i would think it was cute/funny :) awwww! but if i either didn't know him, hated him, or disliked him, i would think that he had probs and maybe that he is a little over-the-top. i would no cuz i get those texts every morning AND in the afternoon. (but i think its cute cuz he's FINE!) lol!

omg i have the same problem lol. except it's every night when i'm trying to sleep at 3 a.m. and it's "hey how r u?" and it's freaking annoying. but then again, i don't like this guy so it could be pretty cute for awhile... if you actually liked the guy.
