God Made Man First. And Therefore Gave Him The Responsibility Of Being The Head (Leader) Of The Family.
SOMEONE Has To Have Ultimate Authority. OR There Is Chaos. BUT, The Head Of The Man Is Christ And Any Man Who Follows His Lead Will Put The Needs Of His Wife And Children FIRST. So The Woman Really Is Better Off In This Situation. However, Most Men. Even So-Called Christians, Fail To Follow Christ's Example.

Adam was created before Eve.

Jehovah God is a God of order.

When properly exercise, having a man a head of his wife and household is a blessing from Jehovah God.

Bible accounts: Genesis chapters 1 & 2, Ephesians 5: 21 - 6:4, and1 Peter 5: 6 - 10.

You have to look at the time, women could not sign contracts. Paul used a lot of Jewish law. Now if you read on just after it says for the woman to obey her husband, it also gave orders to the man. The husband and father is to lead his household in faith.

Really? Is that the reason God made 'man'? I would really like for people to stop assigning duties to men and women. A woman is just as capable of being anything a man can be. I think the only 'real' difference between a man and woman is that men can't carry and give birth to a child. apart from that all other differences are 'man-made' and sadly are accepted by a lot of people. lets snap out of sexism please!!!

Because God is the head of our lives.

However, God said man is to please his wife. He must not abuse his position.

Back in the day, man was the voice of the home. Woman ran the home.

But today...its all open to interpretation.

Me? I'm VERY happy to spend the rest of my life as an at-home wife and mother, doing the laundry etc (stress-less when I only have to care for home, and not a career too)

I agree with he first answerer. Men did write the Bible, and they wanted to control women. I think men and women were created equal.

edit:

I do, however, think that if a woman is happy being a housewife, doing nothing but taking care of the home and kids... more power to her! At least she found something to do that she loves.

edit:

to Misti M- While I agree with your comment on Hillary Clinton, it has nothing to do with the fact that she is a woman. I think that women are equally capable of running businesses (or what have you) as men. How dare you say women are weak. I take personal offense to that comment. I am a strong woman, and I was raised by a strong woman. Though she is married now, for a time she was raising me and my brother by herself, and she did a damn good job of it. She was alone because her husband beat her, and she almost killed him for it. Don't you ever again say that women are weak. The same men who wrote the Bible are the ones who created that story, for the very reason you just so ignorantly stated. They tried to make women look weak and stupid to put it into OUR heads that we weren't worth as much as men. Well I say F*** that.
And women may run more off emotions, but at least we don't do things for the sole reason of trying to prove how powerful we are.

edit again:

And the only thing men can do that I can't really do is piss standing up.

it truly is a desirable idea. dangle on, enable me get the female who does the cooking, cleansing, and dealing in my kin and factor it out to her. Wait a tick. I do the cooking, cleansing, operating, and conserving the kin jointly in my domicile, because there aren't any women human beings in my kin (till you opt for to count number my dogs, who does little or no except beg for treats, journeys outdoors, and on occasion opt for to be petted). do not generalize. no longer all households are like that. the guy maximum waiting to do the artwork does the artwork in my kin regardless of their sex because they're the proper waiting to do it. the different kin individuals do something else to make contributions. it truly is been that way for us for a minimum of the previous 4 generations, and doubtless a lot longer because the oldest individuals of my kin can't bear in concepts doing it any opposite direction, both. And except for my grandmother, i am going to't imagine of a lady in my kin who cooks. the adult adult males all ensue to be significantly better at cooking in my kin than the girls human beings do (back, except for my grandmother), so the adult adult males oftentimes practice dinner the food because we are all agreed we do not opt for to be stuck eating the $#!+ the womenfolk serve.

Bwhahahahahahah!! Have you MET my gods? I don't freaking think so. My husband isn't that stupid.

edit: I am a stay-at-home mother and housewife. I cook, clean, and take care of the kids because that is job I chose. That does NOT mean my husband rules my life, tells me what to and what not to spend money on or in any way makes my decisions. I run the house, he goes to work. When he clocks out, so do I. After that it's a joint effort. I assure, that does not make him head of this house hold. Even he will tell you that.

Well who knows for sure but I am under the impression since Eve ate the fruit first and then tempted Adam with it she got the bulk of the punishment. Eve was supposedly made from Adams rib so Adam would not be lonely.

I think that it's just because men felt superior and thus the writer made it so woman would forever be forced to be man's slave.
