my daughter is about to turn three years old in less than a week, and she has a very bad rash on her area, and it is alittle on her upper thighs near her area, they are like big red bumps resembling blisters but not really, and she has a pretty bad rash on her butt as well but not quite like what is on her area. This just recently started I have been using diaper rash cream but it is not working very well, she crys and says she is in pain, What could this be? She is potty trained but does have accidents every now and then, I have not changed soaps or anything, I am just clueless on what this is, I will be taking her to the doctor on monday but I need some help with what to do with her now, it really does hurt her. Any suggestions on what this may be or what I can do to relieve some of her discomfort would be great. thank you.

Give her some real yogurt... it can be the kind with fruit in it to make it tasty. It won't hurt and it really could help!

My daughter gets a rash and redness quite often. I think from not wiping well. Your daughter probably needs a prescription cream from the dr. I have used that for my daughter and now I use diaper rash cream. Until you can get her to the dr just layer on the diaper cream as thick as possible and if you have vaseline put that over the diaper cream to seal it in. Also, have her run around without undies for a little bit to get some air, that might help. And rather than give her juice that can cause her urine to be acidy and burn, give her water or dilute her juice with water. Hope she feels better soon!

Boost up yogurt in her diet. It helps.
Change your soap to Cetaphil. History has proven with my child and family that it works.
You can use Aveeno Oatmeal bath for children. This will help her.
Also, buy Aveeno cream for baby. Later it up, and air dry.
Have you tried benadryl for kids? it may be a weird allergy. doesn't hurt to try. Aveeno also makes a diaper rash cream.
I suggest you do this tomorrow. And then judge the difference on Monday morning. If it's the same or worse, visit her doctor.
Good Luck.

my 15 month old daughter has this right now too - it is a yeast infection. her dr prescribed her nystatin 2x a day and cover it in vaseline (locks in the nystatin and protects the skin from the urine). she then says to use only warm water between changes, change VERY OFTEN - checking the diaper every hour or more, although my daughter lets me know right away when she is wet. also allow several minutes each day for the area to remain exposed to sun/air... but yeah definitely take her to the dr!

She has caught an infection of unknown source and needs to be seen by a dr. It's important that the source be identified so that the health of all of the people around her isn't compromised.

Doesn't matter how old she is...it is called a VAGINA not a "down there" not an "area". It is a VAGINA...say the word. It is a body part, just like a hand or a foot, a mouth a nose. It could be an allergic reaction to something...bubble baths? Maybe the wrong kind of toilet paper? I suggest that mom learn the grown up words for body parts though.

When my daughter was young, she always had rashes like you describe. The doctor told me showers were best when she had the rash, not baths, especially bubble baths, and to have her wear only cotton underpants.

She could have a yeast infection. call your pediatrician to have her checked out and they will prescribe something like Nystatin for her. Nothing else worked for my son's bad diaper rash and we brought him in - it was a yeast infection. Good luck and check your wipes - ours had alcohol in them which made it worse!!!

Have you changed toilet paper? My daughter gets a rash from toilet paper, no matter what kind and I don't know why. We buy her those flushable wipes from Huggies.

It could be a yeast infection.
If it's really painful for her, I would take her to the hospital.
