many things in the answers to your question could start whole new questions....but I will stay on topic....the bible is a book....I can read....I was born again ....according to your question that allows me to know the truth.... a spirit that coincides with a another is called possession....I do believe in things I can not see or touch....and yes that is faith....
now I hope you can understand me.... I agree I choose not to fallow your god...not because I don't understand but because I was born again and now know the truth.... I first grader knows how to read...he says he can read good...he can for the Laval he is at.....is it so hard to understand that knowledge comes in levels .... would not this apply to religion also....maybe that is why so many non Christians are no more they have reached a higher level....and no longer need the training wheels of the written word...

Your argument bites its own tail: If a human can only understand the truth in the Bible after being born again and being sealed with the Spirit of God, then how can you expect an unbeliever, lacking that Spirit by definition, to recognize the truth in the Bible?
Just you or me telling somebody this or that is the TRUTH will not convince that person, unless the Spirit already works in them.

To base truth on the bible is shear foolishness, I have been a catholic for over 50 years now, and I base my belief in spirituality, not a book that basically holds no water or any god that so many thinks is out there some where, mankind is the creator of himself he comes from a source of many in the spiritual world, it is there that all things are created including the universe, It's mans stupidity and ignorants towards religion that stops his ability to realize who and what he really is, the spiritual world is where the truth is, faith in a myth holds no truth, and Christ himself new of this truth, but the disciples and his followers simply could not understand what he was talking about, Christ was a God just like you and I are and all of mankind we are the creators of our own destiny and life experience, we all chose on this planet, and yes all of us have been here many life times, but religion destroys our memory of who and what we are and has made millions blind to their spiritual God self, you can believe in what ever you want to believe in but believing in a myth never finds truth, but believing in self and ones own spirit will show you the truth.

That is just about a rhetorical query Zero. A notion does no longer ought to present whatever greater than individual expertise. If a notion has to present "incentives", as you place it, to obtain recognition, the incentives will turn out to be the awareness of the notion as an alternative of the notion being the awareness of the incentives. And at the equal word-- How commonly does the promise of alleviation, experience of affection, neighborhood bonding, and so forth... get crammed? How many folks pass to church watching to discover God, and as an alternative discover a den of little one molesters, alcoholics, corrupt town officers, and rip-off artists? How many folks declare to be Wiccan only for the concentration? How many folks attempt to turn out to be Mormon so they may be able to have a couple of other halves? (which the Mormon church does NOT enable-- for many who are ignorant to this.). As for the reply to the query "What does atheism present humanity?", it's sensible. The equal as every other faith or philosophy.

We're all seeking TRUTH. Some of us just find it in different sources. Anyone who wasn't indoctrinated from birth to accept whatever we're told will need more convincing than you offer in this post.
Yes, it's "hard for [us atheists] to except (sic)." It's hard for us to accept TRUTH(sic) with nothing but the ideal of an enigmatic TRINITY (sic) and SPIRIT (sic) and your SAY-SO, you ******* TROLL.
I have read some amazing answers to people searching for OPINIONS THAT MAY OR MAY NOT DIFFER FROM THEIR OWN. Maybe you should follow suit. If you want a whole list of people saying "I agree!" Then Y!A is not the website for you.
EDIT: And I took a class about the bible in my junior year, thanks.

Let us say that the Christians are right, etc etc.
Prove it?
Why can't enough Christians get together and pray for world peace, etc etc (or any other religion do it?)
Isn't God listening? anymore?
Why can't Christianity make a difference to our world?
Why can't Christianity solve any of the world problems? Or even try to?
Why do we see nothing done by Christianity - instead of simply spreading their word and building churches only.
Why do we see religious institutions building their own kingdom here on Earth, and not using that money instead for good charitable works?

Welp, once upon a time I WAS born again. You forget, most of us "non-believers" were Christian at one time. Two people in my kindred when to seminary school. I think they know the Bible pretty damn well. I've read it cover to cover. Have you? Just because I don't believe in YOUR god, doesn't mean I don't believe in divines. Just not yours. Why is that so hard for you to get?

Actually, you answered your own question.
It is because they don't have the spirit of God dwelling in them, that they think we are delusional for believing in, and understanding the Bible. It is hard for them to except, because they don't believe that God exists. So to them it is just a made up book, just to fool people. And to brain Wash us. But don't let it bother you, because you know who and what God is. And you know the Bible to be Gods word. That is all that should matter. What others think, is their opinion, and they are entitled to it.

It's hard for a lot of people to accept, but there are others that respect our beliefs and leave it be. I don't have to explain myself and the reason that I believe to anyone, although I do on regular occassion. There are some people that will look at me as though i'm stupid, there will be those that agree with me, and then there are those that don't agree but will respect me for standing by my beliefs and simply agree to disagree.

The bible is a book. It has words that form sentences. Those sentences form paragraphs. The paragraphs form chapters.
And honestly, I know how to read. It's not that hard to understand.
It's a book dude.
