how do you find the North and South of an unmarked magnetc? thankyou

Place it on top of a flat piece of wood or Styrofoam and float it on water in a non-steel container. It will rotate until the North pole points North. (This is how the first compasses were made.)

get a second magnet with marked north and south, and see which sides attract.
