Why haven't any muslims spoken out against this? And if you have then my apologies. Now they are trying to justify it and I mean anyway why would she even be charged with getting in the car. This is the 21st century. Lashes? If that just doesn't defy all. How come we haven't stopped putting this crap under the rug. Basic human rights are being violated here!!! Is this really and truly condoned under Islamic law?

We have serial killers who are known to have killed tens to hundreds of people. Their execution was haulted because someone said the drugs to put them to sleep may cause them to feel pain. That is true, look it up?Ok & Tx
If the worst serial killer and thug who was a known monster was given 200 lashes with a whip the whole country would go into a spass attack.
My husband was there and he says it is not a simple belt like a spanking they give these women for small disobedient acts.
It is a whip with many leather strips hanging down with pieces of bone or other pieces of metal in it. So it basically ripes the flesh off. Anything over 40 is a death sentence.
By then she will be dead.
But a little girl who they are trying to demonize by saying she went to the press. She got in the car with someone. So they gang raped her and then she will quietly just disappear. she will be burried alive. But in desperation to save her life she went to the press. Knowing they intended to kill her. It was her only hope. Maybe if she would have kept silent it would have been a more merciful death.

If a man lives long enough to get some statis and age on him then he gets any women he can afford to buy. But they do not buy women their own age. They get 4 women but not all at once. Every few years they take another 12 to 16 year old virgin. Who likes being there so much that they are chained up in a bedroom for several months. That is marriage.
yet, she is one of the lucky ones to even find a husband who will support her. Since most of them cannot read or write or work out side the home.

you do know that in every patriarchy women are punished for rape right? This does include here in the US...
You know how women are treated in court at rape trails right? How about afterwards by society if they come out as rape victims...

I'm not discounting the evil that you are speaking of, but really ask yourself, why are you shocked? It is the logical conclusion of patriarchy in general, and it is not uncommon or specific to particular religions or parts of the world...

The Woman was not punished for being raped, but being around a Male that was not her husband read into that story and it will tell you that, plus she is the one that told the courts that.
And the Men who beat and raped her found out that and then they did what they did so according to the court what the men did was just. So she was punished for being with a Man that was not her husband. So in their point of view it was a just punishment and she condoned it also and felt like she deserved it all. So to them nothing is wrong that that picture.

Well, more than one muslim here on R&S said it was HER FAULT for "instigating" the rape. She CAUSED the men to rape her.

The same reason why they don't speak out about Palestinian terrorism, or the genocide in Darfur, yet they protest against the Iraq War and say 9/11 was done by the U.S. The reason is because Islam is NOT a religion of peace, but a religion of oppression, bigotry, and intolerance. If they had it any other way, they'd prove it by speaking out against this kind of hatred.

Part of it is that they still feel women should be without any rights! That's a bunch of, well, you get the picture!
