This girl that lives next door to me have problems in her family. she talks to me alot about them because he said i'm the only one that listens. But the thing is she talks to much. She could be talking about her mom then go through 7 more subjects and end up at her ex, ex, ex, ex, boyfriend. Then when i have a problem she always began to make it about her again. What is a polite way to tell her that she needs to shut up?

Say you have to go to the bathroom and don't come back for awhile, then when you come back tell her you are not feeling well and leave.
Besides that you need to avoid situations where she can get you without an escape route.

I dont know- but I have the exact same problem! I am so sick of hearing stories about ex boyfriend drama! It's like I can't get a word in! And even when she does give me a chance to talk she changes the subject right back to her again. She is a great friend, and a cool girl- but she drives me crazy! Let me know if you get any good advice!

Whenever she rings the doorbell, just don't answer, and whenever she calls, turn your phone off. Eventually she will get the message that you don't want to speak to her at the time and she'll eventually back off and give you a little breathing space.

You cant because once u tell her she going to ask y then start talking about tat.So the best ting to do is walk away

sometimes tough love is the only way to go, u could try just telling her to shut up
or you could b like, ok can i jus say something here?

the best thing to do is accept that she trusts u. then offer to do something else with her like play a game or something. who know u might need to talk to her someday for something that u need help with.
