I agree with you. They aren't carrying the cross of the Lord they preach to others about. Jesus Himself said this about being rich.
"Woe to you who are rich. You have your reward in full."

Honestly, I have my doubts, but anyway here's my opinion.
When one looks at history and studies the men & woman of God that managed to cross that threshold & develope such a close relationship with The Almighty, the gap between them & todays tele evangelists seems oceans apart.
Those that walked the earth in past days that were able to do all the things that we've read about pushed all else aside & gave everything up & also gave The Almighty their minds. Smith Wigglesworth was one, and there have been others.
So when I see preachers etc that seem to live the life of the rich & famous with investment properties, jets & whatever else they get up to, I wonder, how much of themselves have they really given to The Almighty.
Basically what I'm saying is I think most of it is fake!
All the best.

It all depends upon who the TV evangelist is. For instance, Charles Stanley and David Jeremiah are on TV and I think they are good Christians.
As to Pastors who make a lot of money and live extravagant lifestyles, God will judge them according to what is in their hearts. If someone has served diligently and God has anointed their ministry and they are rich towards God with the money they receive and have enough left over to enjoy the finer things in life then that's between them and the Holy Ghost.
This is not to say that there are not plenty of bad examples of whom Peter by the Spirit prophesied in the following passage.
2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

There are television Evangelist out here that are pretend, and then there are actual ones. God promised if we placed Him first in all issues and actually serve Him with all our hearts, he will provide us the the purposes of our hearts. He in no way meant us to be adverse. He needs us to serve Him. He additionally suggested if we ask in Jesus call and it shall get carry of unto us. If it relatively is His will. There are some evil human beings out here that in simple terms pretend being a Christian. They get the folk's money to fulfill themselves. subsequently it is so considerable to verify your Bible, and comprehend the certainty approximately Pastors, and fake Pastors or Prophets.

yes, they are good Christians
they feel that they pay a price for that ministry
they cannot go out in public without getting mobbed by people
so they have their own swimming pools and the other stuff
many will fall in these last days as the stars in Heaven fall as stated by the word of god
on Judgement day their good works will be given reward
and the bad works will be burned up as stated
we all are accountable, we all make mistakes and we all pay for it no one is without exception
I believe in many of the ministries and do not believe in many
by their fruit you will know them
if a man is willing to repent and do the right thing
why should we judge him
God is the final judge of us all
who knows what we will be judged for
lack of works, not fulling the call
Christians they are and are bringing the word to us
the Church will go back to their first love their own Church

I guess you have a short memory, or you wouldn't be asking this question.
Do you remember the televangelists Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Bakker?
Swaggart was one hell of an adulterer, and Bakker went to prison.
Then, there's the pink-haired lady with her friend who has the diamond-encrusted Rolex. She's the one who wept as though she was chewing the scenery when she described her "humanitarian" trip to a west African country (which shall remain nameless). "Ohh, the dolls!! How those POOR little girls LOVED the dolls", etc., etc., etc., ad nauseum.
She makes me sick. Dolls? Where the hell were clothes, shoes, school supplies, medicine, FOOD for these people??? Instead, the contributions to these sleaze bags goes to DOLLS!!!!!
If that's Christian, I'm a freakin' PURPLE ELEPHANT!!!

You have to put in perspective. It says in the bible that God is a benevolent father,so i could assume that if they are truly serving God it could be possible they are blessed with good fortune, after all look how well Job was treated until his calamaties befell him.I am suspicious like you in wondering if This servant is truly serving God or himself,I guess it is the Lord's will to judge them and not mine.
