"I have not called my relatives"

Can I say "Je n'ai pas telephone des parents"

does it make sense if I say it that way?
(can you make it as simple as possible because I'm only beginning french..)

oh, would "mes parents" be confused with my parents and not my relatives?

Je n'ai pas telephoné à ma famille.

EDIT:
since there is no difference in the French word for "relatives" and the French word for "parents," (they are both "parents") you can eliminate this confusion by using the word "famille," meaning family.

Pretty good. It should be mes parents, instead
of des parents. Also, telephoné needs an accent.
