Why is it always "the Bible Says" for every little thing??

For Christians its always " The Bible says.." so...ooooh you shoulnt do that cuz "the Bible says so"

Dont they ever read/watch anything else than "The Bible"..like the Science news or discovery channel ?

I don't know of anybody who starts every sentence with 'The Bible Says'. Granted, we appeal to Scripture because that's what we believe.

As to your second question, I personally have read many books and other periodicals from snakes to World War 2. The Science Channel has a lot of things, I suppose, but science wasn't a favorite subject of mine in school, so I don't watch it now. Discovery Channel and History Channel have a lot of things that do interest me. Those of us who are believers can be, and usually are, interested in many things but the Bible should be the foremost authority in our lives. When was the last time you read it?

Sure, I watch educational channels and read scientific reports in the paper and stuff like that. But when I want to have an infallible source of truth that never changes (unlike the things that people have presented as factual over the centuries) I look to see what God has said about a matter.

The Bible is God's word. Why go anywhere else but to the Source of ALL knowledge and wisdom? You may want to go to the Discovery channel or whatever. But you are only learning things from an indirect source. Why not go to the One who created all things?

For someone to call themselves a Christian they have to believe the Bible 100% because all the beliefs we have come from the Bible. Therefore it would not make any sense not to look into the Bible for advice on everything. Bible tells us about waht the world is and what the world was, and what will happen.

We cannot selectively pick and chose based on what seems to make sense or what is convenient. Bible is either entirely true, or entirely false.

It because the bible has answers for all the questions in the world. The bible also helps everyone live better lives and get into heaven.
When people say you should do that because of what it says in the bible they aren't trying to put you down they're trying to help you and remind you that what you are doing might not be right.

Because the Bible is God's word of truth......therefore when someone is asking you to prove a scriptural point.......what better way than to let the Bible speak.
