Do they just take a camera man in every police car can try to get lucky and then submit it to the company that produces it?

1) Crews go to areas noted for high police involvement with crimes ( breaking traffic laws is still a crime); A crew consists of a camera man and a sound man; 3) Many scenes are taken from the cruiser dash board cameras. Both films ( or tapes) are edited to make the action more coherent and added to an episode for the show. I don't care about the blocked-out faces as long as the reason for the chase and/or accident is explained. It is a learning process for the everyday citizen.

Cops camera men ride with police cars from random states and work with them in recording chases and arrests.


To the person: above me....
They block out their faces because they are not guilty until proven in court of law, so the suspects want to remain anonymous.

Crime is not as uncommon as you may think, just because you don't hear about it on the news doesn't mean that its not happening. But I do hate it when they block out their faces. I wanna see what they look like!
