An honest answer to this question is, Kasey Kahne had enough money growing - as did Jeff Gordon and others - to be able to race enough to get noticed. He was an average sprint car driver, but had enough ability for Ray Evernham to give the guy a chance. He will never be a NASCAR champion in my opinion. We will all know more next year when Gillette's money joins up with Evernham's and big sponsorship dollars from Budeiser, and if Kasey doesn't make the chase, you will have your answer on his ability.

I think that Kasey Kahne is a good driver. 7 wins over 4 years when a big chunk of drivers never even win one race. His consistency is what gets him into trouble. He is either running great or running bad and very rarely makes a bad car work out in his favor. He has won a championship in USAC midgets in 2000 and Rookie of the Year honors in midget cars also. He was rookie of the year in NASCAR so I would say that he is talented enough to go out and win races.

My sister Andrea and my dad like Kasey Kahne as their favorite driver. When their are commeralls of Kasey Kahne my sister andrea would say their is my baby!!!!!!!!

But I do like Kasey as a driver.
As my dad says "He had a good race, fighting his way to the back, for a good finish two laps down!"

Kasey has the talent..I just hope gillette-everham racing gets it together for the new "Bud Man", he's not my favorite but he is over due for some wins..

I like all the drivers "as a driver". We need 'em all for a race. If it wasn't him it would be someone else.
