No. Cold temperatures do not kill bacteria - they simply slow bacterial growth. Yes, they will "wake up" when they get warm.

Sign of the times really . I think many people would call it progress in a technology sense because its safer to control the temperature of foods . Another thing is that we buy more food now than your grandparents would have bought way back then . Which means we are spoilt for choice at the notion of doing pizza instead of cooking the intended chicken tonight

i'm in high school and i'm taking a culinary arts class. We learned that Freezing stuff does not kill bacteria but it simply slows the growth of bacteria

Heat kills bacteria! As far as I know, cold does not

No, it grows in the refrig. and holds in the freezer.

the only thing that kills it is heat. and not every type of bacteria.
