My sister decided to become a wiccan and so far I am the only one trying to save her. My parents keep on telling me to leave her alone and that its her choice. Why arent they trying to save their daughters soul from eternal damnation?

How old is she? If she is a child she is supposed to be obeying her parents. If your parents are Christians this is surprising! I probably think they think this is some kind of phase she is going through. However, what she is doing is dangerous. Not only to herself but bringing in unclean practices and items into the house would jeopardize the whole family. They do need to put a stop to this. If she continues this as an adult there is little they can do once she is on her own. But this is their home! What goes on with minor children IS their responsibility. Demonic possession can happen if children practice such dangerous things! Your sister is opening a window that may be hard to close!

Because YOU or PARENTS cannot save anyones soul, much less your sisters. Only (in your religion) Jesus or God can save her soul. Let her be what she wants. Everything will work out according to divine plan.

Your parents are right. It IS her choice. You can't "save her soul" unless she wants it. You're just going to have to get over her being Wiccan. Can't have your own way all the time, you know.

My parents love me very much and I decided at the age of 27 to not practice Catholicism anymore. They knew that I was well educated about the Church and that I understood how they felt. I have always been respectful when I am with them for visits. We don't talk about religion but I am not uncomfortable talking about Catholicism with my family if they want to talk about it. I know that my family would like me to come back to the Church and I respect their feelings. I am quite happy living the way I live now and they can see that. Me: Buddhist

Because there is nothing she needs saving from, that is why.
It is very obvious that you don't have the slitest truth and knowledge as to what exactly Wicca is. Perhaps you should do some research that does not have a christian theme to it.
Wicca is an earth based religion, where people believe "ye shall not harm none" I can't say the same for christianity.

Wiccan is witchcraft, but it is not evil witchcraft, like black magic or vodoo. A big part of they're montra is to do no harm to others. You really need to learn more about the Wiccan religion before you critcize your sis and your parents.

Because there is nothing wrong with being a wiccan. I'm a witch. I will not go to hell because it does not exist. Wicca is a religion of nature, not an abomination. She will be fine and probably a lot happier than you.

Don't worry about it hon. Wicca is really harmless. Just make sure she follows the Rede. Alas, just like Christians breaking their own commandments, not all of them seem able to do this and the moral weather can get pretty foggy for those flying broomsticks.

They probably believe that it's only a phase and that she will come around. Also the thing about eternal damnation is just part of Christian mythology.

well.....maybe they have a liberal view on their own religion. I mean, seriously, your sister was given the gift of free will. If she believes that she will go to hell, she probably will come back; you can only try to influence her.

Your parents probably just want your sister to make her own choice. Freewill my friend, freewill.
