JC - I never said Jesus is the Father. He is not. However He is God. I know a bit confusing. The trinity believe in only 1 God. But that 1 God exists in three forms. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit.
The Father is not the Son.
The Son is not the Father.
The Father is not the Holy Spirit
The Son is not the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is not the Son
The Holy Spirit is not the Father
There is one being that is God that exists in 3 persons.

JC - Because there is only 1 God. Didn't Jesus say I and my Father are one?

A sovereign has authority to rule over others. Jehovah is the supreme King, possessing unlimited power and authority. The kings of Judah were subordinate kings who represented His sovereignty on earth. Like them, Jesus Christ is a subordinate King, but with far greater power than those earthly kings, because Jehovah has put him in the position of ruling the universe. (Php 2:9-11) Jesus Christ has therefore been made “King of kings and Lord of lords.” Re 19:16
The trinity is something you can't prove by the Scriptures. You won't find one verse that says that "there is one being that is God that exists in 3 persons." NOT ONE!
Is Jesus Jehovah? No. At Ps. 83:18, Jehovah is called the Most High. Is Jesus ALSO the Most High? No. At Luke 1:31, 32, the angel Gabriel said to Mary: "You are to call his name Jesus. This one will be great and will be called Son of the Most High."
Since Jehovah is the Most High and Jesus is the Son of the Most High, how in the world can they be the same person?
Questions for Edge, Nina, and all others who fail to see that Jesus is not God:
If Jesus is Jehovah, who did he tell his followers to pray to someone else? Why not pray to Jesus if he was God? (Matt. 6:9)
If Jesus was Jehovah, why didn't Jesus know the day and the hour? Matt. 24:36. Does God forget things that important?
If Jesus was Jehovah, why did he say someone was greater than he was? (John 14:28) Can ANYONE be greater than God?
If Jesus was Jehovah, why is it that Jesus has a God and Father? (Col. 1:3) Is it possible that God has a God over him?
The trinity doctrine leads to moronic thinking.

I'm sure you talk to Jehovah's Witnesses a lot here on the Y!A so here is a scripture we like to quote that makes it simple.
1 Corinthians 8:5-6
For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"),
yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
Based on Paul's words, many were called gods and lords, but Jesus is the one that properly holds the title Lord, and Jehovah is the only one that properly holds the title God.
Answer: Jesus
Edge, See if you would answer this..
Was Paul right in saying this or was he wrong? Because he clearly stated that the only God is the Father.
UPDATE:
Edge, you didn't answer my question, so I'll ask it again.
Why does Paul say the only God is the Father?
UPDATE:
Thats going against what Paul was saying.. he said the only God is the father, which leaves out the Son and the Holy Spirit. If you read John Chapter 17, Jesus said we are one with the Father and Son, just as they are one. Its talking about a union, not a trinity.
John 17:11
I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one.

Jesus is the Lord of Lords with one exception Jehovah God
Matthew 28:18 - And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth.
Acts 2:36 - Therefore let all the house of Israel know for a certainty that God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom YOU impaled.”
1 Timothy 6:15 - This [manifestation] the happy and only Potentate will show in its own appointed times, [he] the King of those who rule as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords,
1 Corinthians 15: 24 - 28 - Next, the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. For he must rule as king until [God] has put all enemies under his feet. As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing. For [God] “subjected all things under his feet.” But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that it is with the exception of the one who subjected all things to him. But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone.

There's only one Lord of Lords and it is Jesus. You must remember that He has several names in the Bible and Jehovah is one of them. He's our King of Kings also. He's our redeemer, Savior, comfortor, Master, Rabbi , ect. It's according to what faith and nationally one is.

I am happy you are helping them to see the Truth, that Jesus is God. If they just understood that we are not here to win an argument. We want them to be saved.
Jesus is Jehovah
