You can't hunt on private land or public land without a license. You need to get a hunters safety permit (to buy a license) by taking a three day course. Then you can purchase a license for around 20-30 dollars from most sporting goods stores.
Hope this helps.

anything that inst considered a "game animal" is legal without a license, an example would be hogs (we went in florida before). they arent considered a game animal, so there is no distinction between going out to shoot it or if you went to get it slaugherted. know that the land owner can charge money for hunting these animals though. what were you planning on hunting? something like duck or deer that have a season, to legally hunt, you need a license anywhere. but in all reality, on private land, it would be hard for someone to catch you ;)

Do not come to Texas and hunt without buying a license to hunt. Regardless of the animal being hunted you need a license. Florida is the same, you must have a license to hunt.

Yes, you need a license and you can only hunt during the specified season. The only exception to the hunting season rule is if you are hunting on a game preserve where the game is raised for hunting. This is usually limited to such game as farm raised quail and pheasants. Unless you own the property, you must obtain permission to hunt on it before going hunting.

if it is homestead land (you actually live there, example: large farm) then you can do whatever you want with no license. Obviously if you live in a suburban neighborhood, you can t hunt as it would most likely violate city ordinance.
