What are evil spirits? Are they ex humans or something else?

Why doesn't God get rid of them?

They are alien messengers of satan. They existed before humans ever did. Note also that the soul is the mortal mind so reincarnation doesn't exist. Demons exist because lucifer fell and converted angels into them. These fallen angels still exist because if God killed them off then the universe would be scared of God. God won't allow people to worship him out of fear. Demons exist so that the universe can understand evil and it's effect on life.

Some evil spirits are actually demons, and some spirits are basically ghost that refuse to transcend to the other side and insist on staying earthbound. Basically trapped in the lower dimensions. Some of these can be evil spirits. All spirits are basically the same as who they were when they were a live. And some in time can better themselves as they can still learn and eventually move on to the next dimension, or plane, or some can be guided by spirit guides. Some are positive while some are negative in energy. Poltergeists on the other hand enjoy mischief and can get violent. Usually this is a teenage or young spirit.
Most spirits were humans at one time, and falling angels are basically demons, or bad human spirits that went to hell and now work for Satan.
I have only experienced one bad spirit....... all the rest usually have left me alone except for my spirit guide, she is very gentle, compassionate and comforting.
Satan has came to me at times in my dreams.... but I just bring up the name Jesus Christ and he is done.

As someone mentioned, not all spirits are evil by any means. There are fallen angels floating about that never were human, and nasty spirits that were once human though, in addition to other beings. Spirit World is way more complex than a Christian's imagination. A range of good and bad ones, just like incarnated people.

Evil spirits can be anything from an angry dead person to demons. Angry dead humans are usually this way because they lived in a lot of emotional pain before death. When they do horrible things or haunt, they don't really mean to. They are just angry and dead. But, it depends on the degrees or evil you are refering to. I think in this case, I think you are refering to demons.

Demons are spirits that never lived as humans. They are supposebly spirits that do evil or mean things, just to do it. They are fueled by the anger and depression of others. So the best way to keep demons away from you, is to be peaceful inside...

EDIT: Run James, Run suggested to try to get to know a spirit... never do that. No matter how 'good' you feel it may be. If you don't know how to read them, that could cause a lot of problems.

Some on the higher level are fallen angels. On the Earthly plain they are demons, which some believe to be the disembodied spirits of a race of beings that lived on Earth prior to the creation of Adam.
If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, He has given you authority to get rid of them, one at a time.

i think that there are no such things as ghosts and what not but i very do much believe that "ghosts" are demons trying to make you believe other wise and i agree that God did get rid of them that's why they are down here on earth
