i do not mean to bug the community but my friends with
cattaracts is scared, her question can accute glacoma cause
cattaracts and if so can surgery cure the problem? thanks.

i don't think so i think cataracts are caused by Old age -- causes most cases
Intrauterine infections
Genetic disease
Corticosteroid medications
Eye trauma
Diabetes
Uveitis (an eye disease)
Cigarette smoking
Heavy alcohol Consumption

Yes it can but the treatment need to be imediate to the glaucoma and only after the control of the accute glaucoma it is considered the possibility of the surgery of the cattaract if there is significant loss of vision

no not acute but chronic glaucoma can cause cataract
plz. specify age o the patient!!?
