well, if you're in JROTC and have an instructor that likes you, they can refer you to a senator who'll possibly look into you. possibly starting a charity foundation and doing charity work. anything that makes a difference. that'll help you to get recognized.

When my cousin applied to West Point, he wrote to his representative for a recommendation. You should be able to find contact information from your representative's home page. You can ask your representative want info he or she would need to get a recommendation to the Airforce Academy.

you can email your congressman, i dont remember the website, but you can google it, I did it when I first joined the military because we had a platoon sergeant who did un-lawful things and nobody would listen to a bunch of cherry privates. Things got fixed FAST!

contact their local office. They have staff ot help on this sort of thing.
be prepared to put together a resume of sorts, including your grades, any volunteering/community service you've done, scouting, church groups, etc.
