Yeah, a PS3 looks great with a tube t.v., just make sure that the tube t.v. isn't too old, and use the component cables to make sure that you get the best possible graphics.
I use a tube t.v. for my PS3 with the component cables, but I plan on buying an HDTV next year.

Yep, it looks great. An HDTV would make it look better, but, like you said, you can't afford one. I also use a standard tube TV.

I'm pretty sure it'll look fine. I don't have mine yet, but even the PS2 looks good on a regular TV.

I have 100Hz 25" Flat CRT, PS3 looks amazing on it. Better, than PS2, that's for sure!

Yes I have mine hooked to a 24 inch Sanyo SDTV and it looks awesome :)

Yes, it looks great and you will still notice the jump in graphics.
