I'm a woman that cares about her appearance.....I get my hair done, nails done, and loves to go shopping. If a guy approaches me who looks like he has been in a car wreck and I don't show interest; then, how will that guy perceive me?

Just don't be judgmental or mean and be a good listener. If you're a nice, considerate person you can be into yourself and still appear to be very down to earth and cool.

When 'THE ONE' spots you he will snap you up!
I believe to feel good about one's self one must look good!

Not to sound mean but you sound like you are very high maintenance.
Maybe you should look beneath the surface before you judge someone. You don't know maybe this guy who looks like he's been in a car wreck will treat you like a princess.
As far as how I can would perceive you..more than likely "unapproachable" Come on...now you don't even know if the "guy" who looks like hes been in a car wreck is friends with someone who may be up to your "standards" but is kinda shy....
Just know that no one of are "all--that" there will always be someone who is more beautiful in one aspect of another.
Best of luck find that one guy who is worthy and hopefully hes not a total jerk...(remember just because he looks good on your arm doesn't make him a good person.)

I'm the opposite of you, I wear jeans, t-shirts, and tennis shoes. My hair is short and I don't get my nails done. I'm not a slob, but do take care of my self, put on clean clothes every day, get a shower every day and so forth, but I also get the same response from a guy if I show no interest.

-They take care of themselves too much
-They ask for too much
-They are very high-maintenance
-They think about themselves before anyone else

well, that will depend and the male mental.
some mans will think that your are selfish women and other will accept your ignoring due to many reasons such as:
1) maybe you are a married women.
2) maybe you have a boyfriend.
3) maybe you don't like man who evaluate you based on your great looking (physicaly).
and there are too many reasons that let you ignore such people.

They would probably think that you think you're too good for them. Most guys don't take rejection as well. But in reality, it just seems like you have higher standards than that approaching guy.
