Only those with an open mind, and God in their hearths would be able to do it.

No - each religion cannot be right.

To tell the truth from the liars, you have to look at everything, and examine each aspect minutely from analysis.
Unfortunately religions (particularly churches) are 'political' - they are after 'power and control' - this is evident in their "preaching" and the propaganda they keep on repeating to us.
Circular logic is not 'truth'. eg. The Bible is the Word of God. God wrote the Bible (of course he didn't write it personally himself, he didn't even dictate it [which the muslims claim that the Koran was...] - Christians use the premise - the Holy Spirit oversaw everything - from the writers, translators, editors, and copyists, etc etc -- ensuring it's accuracy. Of course this is total fabrication - like using Old English for the Bible text, when it could have been translated and worded in the normal English of that time. Old English was used because it made it look 'ancient' to give it that air of being old... and ancient. Anyway - saying that the Bible is a book of truth, and that everything in it is true - such that everything in the bible is true - because it is the word of God, etc etc.

Never mind that we know from the history of the Bible - that the Old Testament came from other older cultures, and that Muslims and Jews share the Old Testament with the Christians - and other such facts.

You have only to look at the summary of each religion's beliefs, to know they are wrong.
Oh, Jesus Christ died for our sins. I wasn't even born yet - and still he died for my sins. And what 'sins' are we talking about here? That mankind was born into sin, and yet still hasn't done anything sinful. What definition of sin, shall we use? The church's or the layman's?

From this kind of mess - you can see that few religions could be right with what they teach... etc...

Actually, that;s what I see that is soooo apppealing w/ cults. They usually have a grain of truth. Just enough to attract people. Then they move right in to the stuff that is baloney. But I do believe all religions. mainstream or not, have a grain of truth. But if they don't have " The Truth" they won't get you ultimately into Heaven.

I (personally) believe that there is some truth to every religion. I have several friends who have different religions than myself and we get along just fine. What makes us great is that we all bring to the group another facet of the whole. It's quite liberating if you think about it. You share what you believe with others who do the same. I don't go to church, but I do believe in a higher being other than myself, if I didn't, I think that would be selfish and arrogant.

I am Wicca and believe that everyone has their own path that leads to the Creator. I believe we all DO worship the same one, but have different ideas on what the creator is like and how to worship. That is why I respect the other religions, but ask not to be forced to convert to any that is not right for me and the way I worship!

I'm not sure what you're asking, but if you're asking what religion respects others, it would be the Quakers. Not many are around though. (btw, if you are in the army, and you show proof that you are a Quaker, they won't send you into the battle field.)

What if? If I don't have the faith, then I don't have it--any god would instantly be able to recognize it as fake, right?

I was raised Catholic. I've been there. And I'm not going back (or crossing over).

honestly, most wiccans, pagans, heathens, spiritualists, etc.. accept all positive paths as valid paths for the adherent, so that actually takes place a lot more than you might believe.

we are all right in what we believe in. the problems start when we feel the need to get on a high horse and shove our beliefs into others.
