We believe the BIble.

We believe the Almighty God, the Creator is Jehovah.

We believe that Jesus is his firstborn Son - the Messiah and Christ who gave his life to redeem mankind from the sin and death that resulted from Adam and Eve's sin.

We believe that 144,000 individuals will rule with Christ in heaven over the Earth for the 1000 year reign following Armageddon.

We believe that all others who are deemed faithful will be able to live forever in a restored paradise on Earth according to God's original purpose for the Earth.

We believe that there will be a resurrection of the "righteous and the unrighteous" - the righteous given life on Earth, the unrighteous given the chance to accept the truth and also gain life.

We do not celebrate holidays that have pagan or nationalistic origins because we believe God does not approve of these (Christmas, Halloween, birthdays, etc, are all included).

We do not vote or otherwise give our allegiance to the political systems of this world as our dedication is to God's Kingdom, not any manmade government. But we do believe strongly in being good citizens, paying our taxes and obeying the laws of the land in which we live.

There is much more - but that's a start.

The Jehovahs Witnesses are a very worthwhile christian organisation that started off as a bible study group... If you want to know more about them try wikipedia or you can ask a witness to visit you in your home..

Im not really a christian however, during my research I found the JWs the most decent and the group most dedicated to finding the truth behind christianity where as most other christian sects are built firmly upon tradition and the polotics of the time.

But like all religions and faiths.. it is only ones best understanding of what truth may be

Salaam Alaykum,
They believe Jesus was a prophet and not god...they can be disfellowshiped or shut out of the group if they join the military.
Or do drugs, drink, have sex. Another weird spin on Christianity like Mormons that believe in a modern day 18th Century prophet named Joseph Smith. They don't recognize the cross on their churches or the bodies of their worshippers.
Jehovas don't believe in Mormons or Joseph Smith..but have break off theories that there is no heaven and hell that God will kill everyone in it not a Wittness and they will inherit the earth and it will be paradise on earth.
Wasalaam

This question comes up a lot. It would be much better indeed for you to go to watchtower.org and click on anything you want to know. It is very easy and it keeps you from getting lies.

There are no funny costumes, no craziness, just sincere people spiritually educating their families in the Bible. If you want the personal touch instead of a website, go to any local Kingdom Hall. You will not need anything but your Bible and a pen and paper. No collection plate is ever passed. After the meeting is over, ask any JW you see any questions you have. They will answer from your Bible.

Their main beliefs are much like the christian beliefs. However, a very fundamental difference. They believe worship in a church is evil based on ancient pagan rituals. They also only read their own version of the bible (New world translation) and this version is either missing parts/changed parts/misinterpreted parts.
Also, some, but not all of course, but nevertheless many, Kingdom halls suck people in and are kind of brainwashed into the beliefs and you would be melted into their 'family' much like a cult (and made to feel very welcome) and not be allowed to question any of their beliefs, associate with others outside the witnesses (including non members, i.e your family), etc etc. I could go on.
These are not bad people, they do charity work just like other religions, and essentially they are following christianity, at least their version which they feel is right. Until hopefully one day, they realise they have been tricked and lied to and feel foolish for being so stupid. Once your in the club, it is difficult to get out, they won't let you leave easily.
Basically, just don't get involved.

The Jehovah I met not knocking on my door are very nice people. I am Jewish, and it's a tough religion, its nothing compared to Jehovah. They don't celebrate birthdays or Christmas. I don't celebrate Christmas either, but I still enjoy the holiday party at work, they don't even attend the party. Way too many rules.

I am a Christian and have few problems with similar religions.

My main problem with Jehovah's witnesses is their stance on blood transfusions.

They have interpreted a part of the bible where it says you can't eat blood. This relates to sacrifices, not blood transfusions because they wern't invented yet.

Now if they want to die because of their beliefs I tyhink they are stupid but it's their choice, but why do they let innocent children die?

They have their own translation of a bible - very different beliefs from Christians.
They believe in earning their Salvation through good works. Christians, as you probably know being a muslim, believe Salvation comes through believing in Christ as Saviour - God's grace rather than working for it.
I pray you will hear and know the truth.
From a Messianic Christian
Inshallah
Shalom
