My dog is a very hyper 3 year old female chocolate lab.

yesterday or the day before my dad took her to the park and she played in the water, he said she didn't get water in her ears

yesterday she was fine today about 1 hour ago we went downstairs in the garage where she lives and her food had come out about half and hour ago. she always eats her food right away and she was still in her crate, shaking/ shivering ( she never does that!) and she was gaurding her head..she loves to be pet!! But she didnt want us to touch her only the top of her head also she was acting very strange kind of with her tail drooping eyes very tired. HELP!! what could be wrong wiht her!!!!

We might take her to the vet later on today..could it be something she ate? also she did go pee 5 or ten minutes ago.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried calling a vet's office and explaining the situation that you don't have a way to get to their office? They might send someone to your house if they feel it's life threatening but if not they will at least give you some advice on what to do in the meantime. Good luck with your baby.

Dogs get water in their ears when they play in water. She probably picked up something from the water, or already had an ear infection and getting water down there, plus getting cold and wet, made the whole thing worse.
Being in the cold damp garage, isn't going to make things better. You should bring her into the house, until you are ready and able to take her to the vet.

Take her to the vet immediately. If your regular vet's office is closed, find an emergency clinic. Her symptoms may or may not be connected to playing in the water, so don't assume it's just an ear infection.

It could be very serious...or not. It may be just an ear infection or she's infected from the water or shes swallowed something poisened. Get to the Vet Now!

It sounds like your dog has a very bad ear infection. The quicker you get her to the vet, the better. Other you could end up with a deaf dog.

My dog had chronic, explosive diarrhea after playing in the river which required immediate vet treatment. There's a lot of nasties in these polluted rivers and ponds. Persuade your Dad to take her to the vet when he gets home, you shouldn't leave her all weekend without vet treatment she probably drank polluted water. Good luck.

She sounds like she has an ear infection. I'd go get ear drops at the vet and have them to check her out to see if anything else is wrong.

She'll need a good examination ....check inside her ears , open her mouth and see if something was stuck or any signs of sore gums , check on her skin and see if she has any wounds or foreign bodies . Maybe she has a tummy bug or eaten something she picked up from outside , is her stomach bloated ? ...it would be hard for you to figure out what's wrong with her , I could think of a 100 things that could be the cause of her behaviour , but at least it doesn't sound like life threatening at this stage.....good luck !
