Hmm in a way yes. But at the same time no. Those who say we should be or IMPLY we should be think that because we are majority Christian NOW that we always will be. There are estimates from between 2014 and 2040 they will be the minority. Of course you really can only SERIOUSLY guess at this sort of thing, but if we were honest with ourselves, we would say most of the US is agnostic. The pews aren't as full as they used to be. The world used to stop for Sundays, and they don't anymore. I assure you, if the majority rule shifted to say muslim, and muslims were asking the same thing that they are, Christians would screaming freedom of religion as long and loud as the rest of us.
Sometimes the majority forgets what it feels like to be the minority.

That will never happen. To ammend US Constitution it requires 2/3 majority. Even half the people will not vote in favor of Christian Theocracy. They can never agree which form of Christianity should become the official Religion of America.

Best thing to can do for America is make an Ammendment that will prohibit making laws against the teachings of Christianity like giving licenses of liquor, prostitution etc. which ever are prohibited in Bible, Quran, Torah etc.
I doubt if law makers will agree to do even that much.

You have to understand the definition of theocracy to see that the USA is far from being a christian theocracy and that our constitution would not allow for it. A nation as a whole believing in God is one thing, a nation as a christian theocracy is quite another. Won't happen in the USA.

Because some are very narrow minded and can't begin to respect that other religions are legitimate and right for other people. They are determined to push their religion onto everyone else, no matter what the cost.
