Purr Girl, the man was a freaking genius in his own right. He knew how to read people like a book, too.

Actually ... I live in Ontario, Canada and last year the Muslims DID try to get government to pass a law that allowed them the right to enact Sharia Law in specific Islamic situations but the Premier had the balls to say, "absolutely not!" Why do I support the Premier of Ontario so vehemently? Not because I am anti-Muslim, but because THIS IS CANADA! We are a free country and everyone who stands on our soil is free to think, do, pray, worship, say, believe, etc., what ever they want, NOT only what their family, friends, neighbors and clerics want. So if a Muslim comes here, say hypothetically, and she/he is being oppressed in ANY way, she/he has the indisputable right as a free citizen in a North American city to say, "NO! I don't want that!" And by OUR laws, she/he is protected. No clerics and no Sharia Law can change the fact that if she (or he) wants to change their life in any way, NOBODY can stop them unless they drag them kicking and screaming (or unconscious) back to their own country where freedom is like a piece of precious gold ...... and just as rare. .

Actually, I kind of like your rules, especially the one about being cruel to someone who is annoying in my house. :) Personally I've never cared if people followed the same rules I do as long as they did no intentional harm and tried to be good to others.

I agree with ALL of them except 4. If someone annoyed me, I'd just ask them to leave. But I'd give them a good tongue lashing! Many people do not realize just how intelligent Anton LaVey was.

I don't expect anyone to follow the "rules" of my own religion. But then again, there's really only one "rule" of my religion, and it's pretty much universal to begin with.

But in general, to say that you can't do something because somebody else's religion says so... that's stupid.

I don't expect anyone to follow my rules or the rules of my religion. You're old enough to make your own decisions.

Haha!, what great rules.
I especially liked number 3 and wished certain people would follow it.

I do not expect anyone to do anything they do not want to do.
I expect others to follow their hearts.

That is why I do not evangelize or try to convert anyone.

I don't want it done to me, so I don't do it to others.

Thank you for asking and for giving us an opportunity to respond.
