There is a painting o his that I cannot figure out what time period it's from. I am not art savvy and I don't know anything about the times periods. The painting is called The Mocking od Christ.

The Renaissance is considered to be 14-17th century.

The Mocking of Christ was painted in 1865.

Manet is actually considered "Early Modern"
He marked the transition between Realism and Impressionism.

Nope. Renaissance was three centuries before. He was in the 1800-1900's, 19th & 20th century. Try looking him up at artcyclopedia.net. Also it's really helpful to check out allposters.com- they categorize artists by moment, period, and style; it's a great way to catch up on your art history.
