so with photoshop?

okay soo, ive been trying to do this photoshop thing. do you see how you make these? http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l297/lala2148/d.jpg ive been trying to make it forever. and this picture http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l297/lala2148/caitlinfyfe.jpg i wanna know how to make its very simple to the smart people on here. but if anyone knows how to make them plzzzz tell me. thankss<33

To make the first image with text shaped on a photo. Here is a brief outline of the steps.

Open your image and make sure you have your layers palette is visible since you will be using several layers.

1. Layer menu -> New -> Layer...
Click OK

2. Edit Menu -> Fill...
Choose Contents white and click OK

3.Pick the Type Tool and make the color black
Select the font and size, then type your text.
Click the check mark in the options bar.
Change font and size to suit from the options bar if needed
(This has made a separate layer above the white filled layer.)

4. Pick the Magic Wand tool
Select all the text
Turn off the layer visibility for the text layer (click the eyeball on the layers palette)

5. Change to the White filled layer (click it in the layers palette - now the text area is selected on this layer)

6. Press Delete or choose Edit Menu -> Clear
You can now see the photo below.

7. Choose the move tool and drag the transparent area around until you are happy. (don't worry about the edges of the white layer showing the photo below because the next step will...

8. Crop as needed

9 Save in .psd format, then choose save for web and select the file type JPEG or PNG-24

That's the basics of one way to do it. There are others that may be more flexible but involve more steps.
