Humanity is judgmental, it's our nature.

ALL of them?

The only thing atheists have in common is the lack of belief in gods.

Am I judgmental? Only about fundies. I think they are all morons.

The rest of the human population I take on a case by case basis.

Everybody is judgmental up to a point. However, atheists don't proudly follow an ancient book that specifically tells them not to judge.

And anyway, how is it possible to forgive others, if you can't judge first?

but does one make judgment based upon something substantial, or something completely subjective?

If you say pizza has less sodium than bratwurst, atheists can look up data to evaluate your claims, where as a faith-based theist would expect words to be taken on face value, and judge based upon tradition or dogma rather than evidence.

All people are judgmental. Atheist, however, "judge" people based on their actions versus the Christian who judges based on a book of myths.

we ALL are to some degree- but in this case, you're right. There are both theists and atheists who can be particularly so- this is a public forum. Its open to anyone who wants to participate. People being people is to be expected.

edit: markyyy- good point...

Some people are judgmental. I don't think it has a lot to do with whether or not they believe in God.

There's nothing wrong with making judgements. Ethics, morality and the law are impossible without doing so.

The problem is making judgements that lack rationality, evidence or compassion.

That's called prejudice or bigotry.

Atheists are judgemental, no problem with that ...... we do not have a book that tells us "thou shalt not judge as thou would be judge upon" ........ it is a form of answers for those who say they are true christian and follow the book closely..... (notice, no atheists tells the pagans or wiccan, you are judgemental)
