I had many talks with Jesus, and he never talked back. I asked and he never answered. I prayed and he ignored. I begged and he did nothing. I walked away and he disappeared. That's when I realized that all those times, I was alone, and he was never there. I'm Atheist now.

I respect your right to believe.
It seems to me if yours was true, and the only true path, then (1) any decent/loving god would have intervened against some of the sadists who have used Christianity as an excuse to do horrific deeds, (2) an omnipotent god would have had to have been responsible for hell, "satan," original sin and everything that happened on his watch, so it's really a rather arbitrary and caprious system, (3) any decent/loving god would not have to rely on fear of punishment as a recruitment tool, (4) an allegedly infallable bible wasn't really infallable until recent centuries but yet now it is supposed to be accepted even when evidence to the contrary emerges, (5) we are supposed to accept the word of bronze age men to explain events that were theoretically dictated to them but for which they could have no way of truly understanding, (6) there is no rule number six, (7) a decent/loving god who gives the only (allegedly) legit rulebook to a handful of people and their successors who have historicially had behavioral issues and who have proven to be less than fully trustworthy, and judges all based upon acceptance of this group, is not playing fair by any stretch of the imagination, (8) a decent/loving god that allows his followers to cause unprovoked misery upon people who are different is not a decent/loving god, (9) I'm getting tired of typing, and (10) there is not one shred of evidence to support the claims.
Among others.

Is there a need to believe in something? All too
often religion takes the place of self accountability.
I pay my taxes, don't cheat on my husband,
don't murder, don't steal. I treat others well, donate
to charity, teach my children right from wrong. I take
care of my family, my parents, help others less
fortunate and so on. I treat others as though I would
like to be treated. Heck, I even let people cut in traffic
without calling them names. It's simply living right.
Why do I need to believe I'll get a bonus for living right?
Why is a book required? Can't common courtesy be
remembered? Why are ten commandments necessary?
Are you otherwise tempted to kill your neighbor and
have sex with his wife? I mean, seriously. Where is
the conscience?
If you believe I'm going to roast in a convection oven
full of goblins for living right without worshipping an
invisible super hero, hey, have at it. Ask yourself why
you don't believe in Allah. Buddah. The Flying Spaghetti Monster.

since documented history civilizations have had there gods. what makes you think you god is the correct one. maybe Zeus and Hera live on mt Olympus and your wrong. not to mention that science shows us truths, remember people thought the world was flat and if you sailed to far in the ocean you would fall off. this was way after the bible was written so how ignorants do you think those folks were,so your saying believe or die a horrible horrible death, hmm just listen to that , sounds like your being made to believe because of the consequences of not believing

You are still a child, and, sorrowfully, must be going to a fundamentalist church. You will grow up and question someday.
Jesus did live. He did exist. But, he was not G-d. There is no G-d but G-d. Jesus was a man who lived and died. Then, other men made a religion up about him. It is as simple as that.

I want to thank you, Candace P. Up until you explained it to me, I didn't believe in god and the devil. But with the threat of being burned in hell and missing out on the rapture, I've decided to open my heart and praise JC.
I hope you feel more secure in your superstitious belief system, Candace, now that you've converted me.

i never said i didn't believe in Christ, i just don't believe in the claim that simply "accepting" Him as Lord and Savior sends me to heaven. i can't imagine a God who discriminates based on religion, i would think God would pay more attention to how the person lives his/her life.

That's YOUR belief.
I don't believe it because it is not MY belief. What YOU believe has nothing to do with me. I have no reason to believe it unless you can give me a reason to.
What would you think if I said, "Why don't you believe that there is an invisible turtle living in your backyard, who will eat your soul after you die if you don't believe in him. I believe that he sent a magical invisible rabbit to save you from the wicked invisible warthog."
It's the same thing here.

Jesus wasnt sent to save you from the devil but to save you from eternal damnation aka yourselves and your sinning.
That being said...too much evidence nowadays to prove he didnt exist as is being taught. Cant believe what there is no clear evidence of and a book written way later by mortal men doesnt count as evidence. Sorry!

Probably for the same reasons that you don't believe in Zeus, Mithra, Saraswati or a hundred other gods.
I find the Bible God to be non credible.
