it started ou thtat i used to hate him but then we started spending time together and then on our first recital he started talking to me more. After the performance he gave me a back rub and it felt so good but i don't know if i should tell him or not, because i don't want to make things akward. Should i tell him?

Sounds like he already likes you. So you could flirt a little more (move closer to him when you are dancing with him, move your face closer to his). you could also ask him for coffee after dancing

You should tell him. Chances are he is having the same feelings as you, and if not you at least know the truth. It shouldn't make things akward if you approach him in the right way.

Ask him to go out with you and see how he reacts and take it from there. He could have given you a back rub just to be friendly, nothing more, but you'll never know unless you speak up.
