Wasn't he a Hebrew with olive skin and dark features, but some say he was light-featured or of african descent? Why do people assume ridiculous things about his origin?

Everyone wants a Jesus they can relate to. White people want a White Jesus. Black people want a Black Jesus. The truth is, he was from the Middle East, so he's going to look Middle Eastern. Just ignore what they think. They are entitled to their opinions after all.

Well, Jesus was always a WASP = White Anglo-Saxon Protestant as I recall (my experience in Churches).

Later he became olive skinned since that apparently is what many persons believed he looked like (Biblical).

The European Vatican a few years ago stole the idea of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a Baptist, and made Jesus Christ a black man (typically stealing innovations which have come from other cultures and then claiming them as being completely original - my view).

When the gene researchers are done with Jesus Christ, Jesus may glow in the dark; however, there are lots of Jesus nightlights which already do that.

Yes, He was born into the Hebrew family, from the tribe of Judah, lived most of His life in Galilee. Oddly, no one in the Bible ever tried to disprove His Jewishness.

The fact is that we will never know what He looked like, from a human standpoint. The important thing is that He came to deliver us from the penalty of sin and to bring salvation.

He was Jewish. With tan skin and dark features. Or that's just what I believe reading the Bible and where he was born and what-not. Who really knows. We didn't live back then.

Because they feel that if Jesus is the same race as them, that they share in his accomplishments. I would agree that this is a totally ridiculous concept.

I sound like you have a ridiculous concept about what he looked like and the funny thing is, it doesn't matter.

Black people want a black jesus and white people want a white jesus because we as humans are so arrogant that we want to worship a supreme being that reminds of ourself.
