i've been close friends with a guy for practically 2 years. there's always been a slight tension between us, but lately, it's been UNBEARABLE. even our mutual friends notice it.

the only thing is, we both have similar senses of humor, so whenever i try and be subtle to drop hints that i like him, he uses humour to cover up what he's trying to really say. and because i use the same humor, it's kind of a guessing game between us.

lately he's made the effort to introduce me to all his friends, and whenever i hang out with them, there's always some unspoken words between them, usually with many glances and gestures towards me.

MY close friends all know i like him, and they say i should just go for it. but i really don't want to make a fool of myself, if he doesn't feel the same way. what do i do??

there are many more instances where he's given confusing mixed signals. such as, he asked me on a date, and when i paused to answer, he backpedaled, and said 'just a friends thing, don't worry.'
but then later, when i was really into it, he told me he has *and i quote* 'all these romantic things planned, like walking on the beach in the snow, at sunset...i know you love that.'
(i did say yes to the date, we've both just been really busy and haven't had time to plan it. that's kind of besides the point though)

Everybody knows you should be together, he's asked you on a date -- I think you're in a pretty good situation. :)

Just tell him every once in a while that you're really looking forward to a romantic date with him. That should cancel out any false messages you might accidentally be sending about lack of interest. ;)

I think he likes you too!! Just be upfront with him!! Hey you could always try what I did as I was in a similiar situation!! I wrote a letter to the guy I really liked and it turned out he felt exactly the same!! We have been together since and having our first baby together which is due in feb next year!!

I know its pretty scary for you but your worrying over nothing because by the way he is acting it sounds like he fancies you so you go for it girl and GOOD LUCK xxx

i did the same thing with a girl, she told me she liked me and i didnt want to hear that , i wanted to stay as friends so i used humour to get out of that situation.

I know u didnt want to read this, but thats probably why that guy is like dat :(.

take him aside oneday and tell him how you feel about him and then he should be able to tell you how he feels about you. dont get to disappointed if he only wants to be friends though. if that is all he wants then cherish that because i would rather have him as a friend then nothing at all.

How will you ever know how he feels about you if you don't just go for it? Just do it. Don't be scared of rejection. If your friendship with one another is strong enough, it will remain.
