Right on! Finally someone logical. The earth warms and cools naturally, it has been doing this longer than there have been humans. If we're supposedly contributing at all to this, show me some hard evidence.

I will, however, continue to pretend that I believe in it to anyone who asks for the simple reason that if people believe it, they will most likely make a conscious effort to pollute less, which is under any circumstances a good thing.

Did you read the Wikipedia article - conjecture, little scientifc support, temporarily popularised by the media, hypothesis etc etc.

There was no global cooling scare in the 70's. Skeptics have blown a handful of media reports out of all proportion. Time and time again they've been asked to come up with something to support this claim and all they have are a few press articles written by journalists.

Where are the scientists who made these claims, where is their research, where are the papers and reports, where are the transcripts, where are the minutes of meetings. If they received any funding they and the sponsors are required by law to keep records, if they held meetings they are required by law to keep records. These records are publicly available, if they exist then there is no difficulty in finding them. So why haven't they ever been produced?

The skeptics are incapable of refuting the science behind global warming and as a consequence they've come up with several hundred reasons to refute it. They have been forced to come up with so many reasons because none of them are credible and are instantly refuted with facts.

On the other hand, the advocates of global warming have consistently used the same scientifically proven and easily demonstrated reason.

The skeptics spend their time scratting around desparately trying to find anything that could possibly cast doubt on the science of global warming. If they had a valid reason they'd be able to offer it up for examination instead of relying on 30 year old press articles.

Hi there,
If you are interested in the global warming issue, you might want to check out this radio program:
It's called Quirks and Quarks on CBC, Saturdays.

http://www.cbc.ca/quirks/archives/07-08/nov24.html

This is a great science program and the November 24th show was all about Climate Change with a Canadian perspective.

Oh yeah in the land before the internet...I remember it fondly! Color TV was in it's infancy and scientists used slide rules. Don't you think it was possible that the scientists were wrong then, but not now?
