Evolution is a vital, well-supported, unifying principle of the biological sciences, and the scientific evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of the idea that all living things share a common ancestry. Although there are legitimate debates about the patterns and processes of evolution, there is no serious scientific doubt that evolution occurred or that natural selection is a major mechanism in its occurrence. It is scientifically inappropriate and pedagogically irresponsible for creationist pseudoscience, including but not limited to "intelligent design," to be introduced into the science curricula of our nation's public schools.

Props need to go to the "Steve Project"

This is the satement that Scientists named "Steve" are asked to sign if they agree with it, just scientits named steve far outnumber the lists of Scientists who support ID and the list of real scientists who support "creation science" is miniscule in comparrison to the number of scientists named steve who support evolutionary theory..

Not sure about the word "vital" or the statement about natural selection. It is better to say that facts are vital rather than a specific theory. As far as natural select being the major mechanism, I'm not a biologist nor do I have any knowledge that a particular mechanism has been shown to be the major one.

This small points aside, yes I agree, especially that creationism should not be presented as science, except in as an example of how not to do science and how a incomplete understanding can be dangerous.
