I have a friend who was charged with domestic violence for getting in a fight with his brother. Him and his roommate just got in a fight and he's being charged for domestic violence again. He also has a felony on his record for burglary. Does anyone know much jail time will he be looking at?

2nd offense domestic violence with a felony history? Depending on the damage and injury done in the fights - specifically, whether they are charged as misdemeanors or felonies - he could be looking at prison time, not just jail time.

I thought domestic violence required someone to press charges.
I don't know, I'm no lawyer, but who is pressing charges against two brothers? Where was the fight?

depends on the county prosecutor, if the state picks up the case and what state he is in and how sever the violence was if there were weapons and who all was involved if there was drugs or alcohol involved
