Is it smart to delete Internet Explorer one i have downloaded Opera?

I have downloaded Opera the internet web browser but i no longer want internet explorer on my laptop taking up space. Is it smart to delete it or should i just leave it?

No.. its never a smart choice to delete Internet explorer.. even u have any other browers like firefox or opera...

I have been using opera... and to tell u something, Many online applications like Picasa and others import Internet Explorer setting by default ( this cannot be changed) ...

So if something is wrong with ur IE... thn the Web application would not do its work.... coz it either got wrong settings( if IE is corrupted) or It never fond IE ( if deleted) ...

I guess this must solve ur querry :)

You can't it's part of Windows. If you don't want to use it just delete the shortcut. You will need IE to download all security and upgrade patches. They will only work with IE.
