I don't know why flies are attracted to her, she has no cuts, scrapes or anything like that. We use Advantage once a month for the fleas, but flies are always on her back. We keep a clean yard and bathe her reg.

'Fly Off' spray, they sell it at most pet stores. My pit used to have the same problem and we just put the spray on her, it works right away.

If it is inside it shouldn't be a big problem but if the flies are bothering him while he is outside, it might be that he is dirty and needs a bath. If they are still bothering him, most of the time the flea repelants will keep them away but if not, then maybe use a spritz of something like Avon Skin So Soft - a 1:10 dilution of it sprayed on him might help keep them away.

There's a product called "Fly's Off". They make it in a spray or an oitment. The oitment works best. But a more effective way for your dog to keep the flies away is take him away from where the flies are by keeping him in the house with the family.

Super Shield green by Absorbine. It is a horse product, but I have used it on my outside dogs (and on the inside dogs during yellow fly season). It is water based and herbal, so it has to be reapplied daily.
