how would i go about working specifically in new york? im also interested in working for the un in new york, but i am canadian
how do i do this? ps, im studying political science at university
do i need a masters?

An education alone will not suffice - there are plenty of people with law degrees waiting tables. Your best source of information will be from Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada itself. See the following site for student "internship" opportunities:

Finish Political Science then study law or get a Masters so that you could apply for a job at the UN and there will be no problem.
