Yes, but they will hold it at the box office. There is a stike now in NY so make sure you check that out. Most shows are on strike, except for Mary Poppins and a few others.

You can try but the popular shows sell out fast.

A strike has gone on for over a week. Ticket holders will get first choice to some of the shows you mentioned. If you really want a ticket to a particular show buy before.

If you are not fussy, you can get 2 for tickets the day of the show.

good luck)

Keep in mind, right now there is a strike keeping most of the Broadway shows closed--the only shows still open are:

“Cymbeline,” “Mary Poppins,” “Mauritius,” “Pygmalion,” “The Ritz,” “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” “Xanadu”, “Young Frankenstein,” and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."

As for how to buy last-minute tickets in NYC: Visit the TKTS booth in the middle of Times Square.

You can buy theater tickets weeks in advance if you want. The only problem is that the theaters are currently on strike.

Depends, the strike is still on, the popular plays sell fast. try scalping, or a last minute ticket kiosk.
