This is a question for either girls or guys but I would like some advice. My bf does not live here and when he comes down (around Christmas) we want to have sex. There is a good chance that I could be on my period (or just barely starting) when he is down. I've never had sex while on my period before(I don't know if he's had sex w/ anyone else while they've been on their period either) but since I don't see my bf very often we want to have sex while he's down. I haven't mentioned to him that there's a chance I could be on my period yet (more than likely won't until I Know for sure since sometimes I'm a little late).

My question is have you ever had sex while on your period and do you prefer it while you're on your period? Guys, do you mind having sex with a girl while she is on her period?

Like I said, there's a chance I could, and a chance I could't be on it. It all depends on when he comes down and if I'm late or not.

It isn't unhealthy. It won't hurt you. And since your period is actually your body flushing the unfertilized egg out of your system it is VERY unlikely that you will get pregnant. If you don't mind a little mess there is nothing wrong at all with having sex on your period. It can even help alleviate some of the cramping. You should just tell him that you are on your period and if he is OK with that don't worry about it and just do it. If either of you are a little leery, you might try it in the shower, that can prevent the mess and dispel any remaining icky feelings you might have.

I have been with my husband for a while and we are past being shy about silly things like that. So yes.
But you are in a somewhat new relationship and your bf might be a bit of a wimp about it. Many men are.
You'll have to hint around or be bold and ask him right out. I think for most men (especially young studly kids like you sound to be) the desire for sex overrides everything else in life. Chances are good he would at least try even if you stored a cobra down there.
Mention it to him. You could even ask as though you are just curious, such as, "Hey Dan. Would you ever have sex with a girl on her period?" If he says, "God no!!" or "Why not?" then you have your answer.
The most important thing is to remember to use birth control or condoms. If you get pregnant you'll have a lot more than periods to worry about for the next two + decades.

I won't do it, I would feel to uncomfortable to be able to get into it. Even saying that I know my boyfriend would do it and not think twice about it. I have two suggestions for you though, if you call your gyno and just tell them you are going on vacation, to a wedding or something along those lines they will switch you to a different pill which will keep you from getting your period for that month. Another thing I suggest is the Seasonale or Seasonique birth controls I am this brand and I only get 4 periods a year the only downside to this is that it takes a while to start working for some and they continue to see spotting for the first couple of months, Mine worked right away though!

So long as you have safe sex using a condom, (You don't know where he's been.) and you wash the sheets, there's nothing to say you can't have sex when you want.

You should know it might be a pretty messy business, which some men woundn't like. But if you both feel up to it, there's no reason why not.

No, it isn't clean hun. Your body is getting rid of old blood. If it was me, and if I were on the pill, (Which I don't know if you are or not but you can do this if you are) I would just skip the week I am off and just move on to the next pack.

That way there is no period..well period! lol
Good luck!

My bf and I have done everything.
Yes, I had sex while on my period.
I would prefer not to be, but if you want some and your bf does too... go for it.

I also have very light periods, that last for 3 days... so when we do it, its not heavy.

Its really no differant, except for the period.

Good luck, if you only see him onx-mas go for it!

wow... i personally wouldn't do that one i'm in pain when i have my period and that would only increase my pain, and two i wouldn't want my b/f having a bloody thing lol. I can understand why you would do it even if you were on it seeing is he moved and i assume you two don't live near each other anymore =( (i know what that's like) but... if you do use protection and you needn't worrie about pregnancy there is no egg to be fertilized =) hehe you won't be fertile till 14 days after your period. If you want to do that with him go ahead as long as thats what will make you both happy and good luck.

I think that you should not have sex while you are in your period. You do not want to get a surprise while you are having sex with your bf and him complaining of why you did not tell him.

Most girls I've been with are nervous about that. They're afraid I'll get grossed out, and that it'll be painful for them.

Well, I don't get grossed out, and I appreciate the warning. If it's going on, just tell your boyfriend, and let him decide.

As to pain, girls have found that it actually HELPS because I go and stretch them out a little, so the cramps relax.
