It's not that hard. Unless you can only accept a literalistic interpretation of the Bible. For those that understand the concept of "symbolism", not hard at all.
Peace to you.

I'm sure there are many different reasons why people believe what they believe. And even though I believe that people should be respected, everyone has different opinions, I really dislike all religion. There are so many issues in the world that are "controversial" that consist of party A not being able to do ____ because of party B. Well, party B doesnt have to live with the consequence, yet they can make laws that devistate other people. By the way.... Where the **** is seperation of church and state???? And.... Get rid of the Bacholer, Bad Girls Need Love, A Shot of Love, etc. THEN we will talk about the sanctity of marriage. =( In a day in which divorce is as common as marriage, I think the people fighting for it have a better shot.

"Creationism and evolution ARE NOT mutually exclusive "
Yes they are. Evolution shows it can occur without outside intervention. Now apply Ockham's Razor. Evolution occured without an outside intervention.
What if we were created as a food source then? Dinosaurs were energy for later so why can't we be food?
Our "extreme intelligence" is matched by your utter ignorance. Dolphins have been repeatedly shown to be just as smart as us with more communication skills.
Besides, if your god created us by evolution then your god would AT BEST be guilty of negligence.

Because even with scientific tools we have today, it is very unlikely and statistically improbable that things got such high order of creations.
Accordingly evolution is a very long process that takes place gradually.
This is opposed by Quantum theory that there is no such thing as infinitesimal change.
For instance, we keep on looking ape-man transition to show the evolution of man from ape but cannot find any.
For religious people, it is the theory of causality that matters. Everything is created as it is for a certain purpose.

Show me ONE passage in the bible that proves God used evolution to create all things?? God didn't need to use anything but His own power. God is superior to us all and does not need to use anything to create - He did it all by His own power! God breathed life into Adam! He didn't create a male and female ape, saying, "Ok, now I'll sit back and wait for 'evolution' to take over so the human race can begin soon. God created man in His image - NOT apes or monkeys.

Many Christians are Theistic Evolutionists.
I am not a Theistic Evolutionist (nor am I a young earth creationist) because I do not find the scientific evidence to strongly support either side.
I am a old-earth modified-progressive creationist based on the scientific evidence (which I find to be consistent with the Hebrew passages in the OT as well).
Cordially,

I don't think evolution itself contradicts creationism, but natural selection does. Adam was said to be perfect before the fall, if he had evolved at random as natural selection would have it, then he would be imperfect by definition. Therefore the creationists came up with intelligent design in order to have their cake and eat it too. That was actually quite intelligent of them IMHO.

Evolution has nothing to do with the creation of anything, look up evolution please and read what is says.
I'm beating a dead horse here but once again I will say that evolution makes no attempt to explain the origin of life.

Read the Genesis chapter one account. Notice the repeated key phrase in that chapter - "according to it's kind" (or the like according to what translation you use). The creatures were created "according to it's kind" not evolved or changed.
Each creature has it designated place and purpose given by the Creator.

That would simply go against all Christian doctrine.
Dinasaurs don't exist in the Judeo-Christian world.
Man was created as is, without evolving.
The earth, according to the Judeo-Christian doctrine, is less than 10,000 years old.
Evolution is not a valid argument for Judeo-Christian followers to use. Those who do are heretics.
