I've been wondering because I think, as different as we are, when it comes to love, women and men want the same things: compassion, trust, sharing, caring, passion, truth, support...

Woman and men do share most of the same things but from my expierience of being a woman and dating men through out my life I notice men are not as open as a woman and often do not say what they are feeling or what is on their mind, they hold in a lot that's what drives me nuts.

While men are raised to hide their emotions more than women are, basically both men and women want the same things in life: love and respect. When it comes to love, both men and women want someone who will respect them, someone in whom they can trust and who will trust them - including sharing secrets, fears, goals, etc., and someone who is open and honest in their dealings with them. We only "present" differently. Inside, we all want the same from love; it's what we want from sex, and what we're willing to do/sham to get it, that's different.

Have to agree with you 1000%. We all strive to feel wanted, needed and loved by someone else in our lives. Regardless of what sex we are born or how we portray ourselves to the world the final result is usually the same feelings for each of us.

I agree, although most men won't admit that these are some things they need and want when it comes to love.

I don't think they are. When men are little boys they love to be cuddled and loved as much as a little girl. I think growing up they are taught not to show their emotions as much as girls.

I agree, from my perspective anyway. I could be wrong.
