"plastic cancer" anyone?
Hmm is there a link? It's been shown that plastic molecules get inside food, even water bottles exposed to the sun.
Great idea!!!!Nuke em!
Talk about ignorance. But its so convenient.

When I first saw one of those commercials, I wondered just how lazy can people get. It takes little effort for me to open up a bag of frozen veggies and put them on the steamer on my pot on stove top. Twenty to thirty minutes later, I have steamed veggies.

I've heard that it's not safe to microwave plastic. I also avoid using my microwave as much as possible, just on occasion for reheating coffee and melting Smart Balance spread for air popped popcorn. Also, being a convenience item, a bag of those veggies probably costs more than the $1 I pay for a bag of frozen veggies.

Why wouldn't it be safe? I purchase those bags that steam that already have the veggies in them... green giant steamers or something. Love them!

I personally avoid plastic food containers and microwaving my food as much as possible but I'm sure many will / would disagree.....it's just too risky with all of the slip ups nowdays........
