A Christian's belief is not only based on the Bible. Christians are filled with the Holy Ghost. We communicate constantly with God through the Holy Spirit. The Bible is only one way that God speaks with us. Get on your knees and repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your savior and be baptized. You will then receive the Holy Ghost and know this for yourself.

Sorry I don't do the bible that much, but I do talk with the Great Spirit, and he has helped me through a lot of troubles.
I do not go to church, because I know I can speak with the Great Spirit any time I need to. I have gone to churches, I have listened to the sermons, and I have been shunned because I don't think the way they want me to. That's on them. I can't go someplace where they tell me it's wrong to do something, but then I see them doing the same thing. That's wrong to me. But Yes the Great Spirit is all around, and here when needed. Belief, faith, and love will help get the answers.

The books, the gospels, the letters, everything was originally written by men who was inspired by God to do so, in other words they were only vessels, men who made themselves available to God, so God worked through them. But in the translating of the Bible, men because of their pride and arrogance did tamper with some verses in the Bible. But Jesus sent us a Helper, The Spirit of Truth, who helps us to discern the truth. So that's why you will never understand the Bible with your mind or your intellect. Your IQ does not come into play..The Words of the Bible are spirit and can only be discerned spiritually, not mentally...

I fought with this.
an inerrant bible is what folks refer to this as. Some believers are OK with thinking that the Tigris Euphrates river are 60 feet above sea level. (do you know where I'm going with that?) I was certainly one that thought Noah was just a good rancher and knew the lay of the land.
When I got my hands on prophecy that I could prove, I changed my tune. a real god can do anything. I can no longer blow the whistle and scream foul.
ozz is wrong.

Well there is conclusive proof that the bible is a compilation from a number of other religions much older than than the bible itself, so that's gotta say something.

Well, many things in the Bible are uttery symbolic so that makes it not "literally" true but true the same, and if the Bible were not true then God would send prophets to let us know the truth.

Of course I would! But such a thing is impossible to prove!Years ago men believed that baths weren't good for you, but we take baths now don't we?! Or what about the whole "fat people have more blood" thing?! You simply cannot trust every word you hear these days!

Of course I would still believe in God! Whether the bible did or did not exist. A testimony that God lives is from this earth that was created and the continuation of miracles we see everyday! Only through God those things would happen. All good and righteousness comes from one source, God, a loving Heavenly Father.
